Somebody is a doctor 🙂
Ahhh!!! Congratulations! I had no idea you were so close to finishing! And now you’re done! No wonder you’re feeling like a weight is off your shoulders! Give yourself a chance to enjoy it first. The other weights will settle in time on their own.
Congratulations, again! Sounds like a new mice notes character is ready to be born. I propose Dr. Dr. Mouse. 🙂
Thank you! I am still in the process of finalizing paperwork and stuff. Who knew that formatting one’s thesis ends up more complicated than defending it 🙂 Dr. Mouse will happen at certain point 🙂
Well, didn’t you have an MA thesis at some point? I remember from that how stressful the process of formatting is. Took me two weeks post defense. I even had my Dad helping me with it. But really, you do have the hardest part down. Super cool.
Good luck in this last phase!
Russian universities are not fussy about formatting, and at Fordham there was an option not to do a thesis at all, so I skipped the boring part and took all of the creative writing electives available 🙂
That was probably smart. I went the thesis route because I thought I liked writing. Now, I’ve forgotten everything I learned in this early diss. phase. When did you actually start writing things you used for your diss?
I wrote a story 5 years ago which I then realized was the start of the novel which is a thesis
So I forget, but you’re a Doctor Phil in?
English with the concentration in
So was your diss theory or creative based?
спасибо! creative — the novel itself is the thesis, though I did have to provide a theoretical explanation of it in the prospectus
And I know you wouldn’t make your friends call you Dr. Katarina, but it’s pretty cool!
