Crushing Mice: Leonora, #23
CLAIMABLE
One of the rare Mice Art originals dedicated to the start of the season at Lyric Opera of Chicago. Leonora and I are excited beyond measure about “Rheingold” which is playing tonight (and we are listening to it on the radio because I am so insane that I can’t go to premieres — I get too anxious about things going wrong even if I am not the performer:)
There are 9 easter eggs planted here which allude to the Ring Cycle for fellow Wagnerites, and the background is done really badly, but I hope by this point it goes without saying that we love mice art not for skillful execution and artistry.
Mixed media: watercolors, acrylics, liners, pencil on my beloved Arches paper
Note to self: urgently watch theRing cycle to spot the easter eggs. I like some of the music, like Siegfried’s Funeral March. I don’t speak German so it would be hard to follow. Ich nicht sprech zee German. Lovethe mouse cartoons. Believe me when I say the lack of feedback has nothing to do with the quality of the posts. You have to hire an evil genie to get spotted in this place. Trickery is afoot.

most of the easter eggs come from Rheingold, and only a couple have to with the rest. thank you! 🙂
