Everything is better with mice: #19
Are nightmares better with mice? Seems like at least “The Nightmare” by Henry Fuseli (1781) is. This piece was commissioned by my dear friend, wonderful poet and fellow deathling Annah. I have always appreciated all things weird and macabre, but she has taught me to enjoy them. And I do — micefying this painting, for example, was a lot of fun. (Except for the folds on drapery — why there have to be so many folds and creases on old paintings?)Mixed media: pencil, watercolors on paper.
